Why would you? I live in MN and hunt legally all the time. There is no law stating that you need to take some bow hunting class to hunt legally! You know how to work a bow safely and just know the regulations. Here are the regulations.

No, you don't ';have to'; take a bowhunting safety class -- but why wouldn't you want to, just to show that you really DO know what you're doing?

Knowing how to shoot a bow is not the same as knowing how to use it SAFELY. Quick question: When is it a good idea to climb into a tree stand with an arrow nocked on the bowstring? If you can answer that correctly, you MIGHT actually know what you're doing.
Yes you do have to take the bow hunting class. Why?

How would you otherwise convince them that you know the ins and outs of bowhunting? Really.

You expect them to take your word for it?
Unless you're totally convinced you know everything there is to know about your bow and how to use it... what could it hurt?
There is nothing to be lost in taking the course and surely much to be gained in learning good safety habits from experienced bow hunters.

Take the course.
