Is it legal to carry a hunting knife that is sheathed and in sight, of any lenghth in the state of missouri?

This is referred to as ';open-carry'; and it is legal UP TO A POINT.

The law mainly refers to concealed carry and ';brandishing';, but there are obvious social implications of carrying a big knife around on your belt.

If your walking a trail, going fishing or hunting, that's usually fine. But walking around town into a grocery store with a big knife is going to look very weird. A person may call the police on you no matter what the law says because their afraid. And police of course are going to stop and question you, wanting to know why you need that big knife, which they would have every reason to ask. Depending on the circumstances, you may be arrested anyway due to that individual officer's interpretation of the situation. Even if said officer is wrong, that's still a night in jail.Is it legal to carry a hunting knife that is sheathed and in sight, of any lenghth in the state of missouri?
No it is not legal to carry a knife of ';any length.'; Contact the police station nearest to you and ask what the legal length is in Missouri. Is it legal to carry a hunting knife that is sheathed and in sight, of any lenghth in the state of missouri?
I'm not sure about Missouri but in Michigan you may carry a knife as long as the blade is less than 3 inches in length and it can not be double edged and you must carry it in the open. In sight.
