My boyfriends going to be going down with me to visit family near Knoxville, Tn. I'm looking for places that we can maybe do a little wild hog hunting while we're down there. I don't have the cash to pay for a stay at a hunting lodge or anything, im looking for public grounds. Anyone have any ideas? It doesnt have to be right in knoxville im willing to travel an hour or two.Public wild hog hunting near knoxville Tn?
three main areas to hunt hogs near Knoxville - keep in mind that public season is in fall
1. TWRA Wildlife Management Area - Catoosa specifically - near Crossville off of I40
2. Cherokee National Forest - managed by TWRA as a wildlife management area similar to Catoosa
3. Private reserve - have seen some advertised in back of the magazines - located near Crossville - pay hunt - varies from fairly fair hunt to something like shooting a tied up pig - statewide seasons don't apply (or at least I don't think they do)

I don't recommend the following lodges but have included for information - have never been to any and won't go
